Propitious Wind and Rain: Kunshan, China

Made during two trips to Duke Kunshan University, I explored how water defines the landscape of Kunshan and the surrounding communities--the ways in which culture, commerce, and daily life are perpetually in negotiation transitioning land and water.Drawn to the visible marks on the land—to the seen as well as the unseen—I am drawn to images that resonate with the day-to- day work, tradition, and the perpetually changing spaces.
